Il 27 febbraio \u00e8 stato pubblicato il primo articolo di Nature sulla tecnologia di stampa 3D nel 2024. Un team di ricerca dell'Istituto dei metalli dell'Accademia cinese delle scienze ha pubblicato un articolo intitolato \"High fatigue resistance in a titanium alloy via near void-free 3D printing\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'articolo sostiene che le microstrutture stampate in 3D sottostanti hanno una resistenza alla fatica naturalmente elevata e che il degrado di questa propriet\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere causato dalla presenza di micropori. I tentativi convenzionali di eliminare i micropori spesso si traducono in un ingrossamento del tessuto, mentre il processo di ri-raffinamento del tessuto comporta la ricomparsa della porosit\u00e0 e persino l'innesco di nuovi svantaggi, come l'arricchimento di fase \u03b1 ai confini dei grani, rendendo il dilemma della microstruttura difficile sia per gli sforzi in entrata che per quelli in uscita.
Nel corso della ricerca sui trattamenti termici, il team del CAS ha scoperto una finestra chiave del processo post-trattamento in cui la trasformazione di fase e la crescita dei grani delle leghe di titanio stampate in 3D ad alte temperature sono asincrone. La transizione di fase da \u03b1 a \u03b2 avviene immediatamente con un surriscaldamento sufficiente e, sebbene la temperatura di crescita della fase \u03b2 sia stata raggiunta, i confini dei grani hanno bisogno di un periodo di gestazione per riorganizzarsi. Sfruttando questa preziosa finestra di trattamento termico, i ricercatori hanno identificato un metodo di trattamento termico che combina la pressatura isostatica a caldo con un trattamento a breve termine ad alta temperatura, che ha permesso di ottenere un affinamento dei tessuti e di prevenire l'arricchimento della fase \u03b1 e la ricomparsa dei micropori, preparando infine leghe di titanio quasi microporose allo stato stampato in 3D.<\/p>\n\n\n
